Diane has provided physical therapy in the Ithaca community for over 25 years, having received her PT degree from Ithaca College. Diane's interest in wholistic health and hands-on techniques led her to study extensively with masters of Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy, two of the primary modalities she works with. Analyzing posture and movement patterns is a focus in her practice, as well as guiding clients into deeper body awareness. She develops exercise regimes to help balance the body's mechanics and support one's overall structure in activities of daily life. Her love for yoga and movement shows in this aspect of her work. In 2001 Diane became certified in Massage Therapy (LMT) from the Finger Lakes School of Massage, and incorporates massage techniques to provide a more thorough approach. Her work is designed to help achieve optimum functionality for the client. Because of this Diane prefers not to offer full body massage sessions.
Understanding the body to be a reflection of the whole person, she works in cooperation with the individual to benefit all aspects of the person's health and life. Diane is known for delivering personalized care to her clients and for being kind, confident, and caring. Her skilled techniques assist the individual to feel, know, and better understand their body and themselves. Diane welcomes clients of all ages, those with acute or chronic conditions, and those seeking a fine-tuning modality for maintaining health and well-being.
